As singer-song-writer you are constantly reflecting on current affairs, observations,  your own experiences and experiences that other people share in conversations. The recent fires in Los Angeles have inspired writers to consider our sense of home.

In our song Regenerating Nature we acknowledge the earth as our home. Although the singer was not born in Margaret River, the Beeliar wetland, near the ocean or in any place other than their birth place, we acknowledge that the place is ‘still our home” and we are looking after it. Being born on earth, made of earth minerals, continuously breathing ancient air and drinking the same water as the dinosaurs, made the whole earth our home!

The song mention in its last verse the fact that most of the past 15  years were declared as “warmest year on record”. We also offer a solution. We strongly advise that regenerating Mother Nature is a step in the right direction.

Restore – Regenerate – Rewild is the slogan of the World Wildlife Fund Australia. More details on their campaign here: https://wwf.org.au/what-we-do/rewilding-australia/

Good work explaining rewilding as well from EOS Challenging Conversations in one infographic.

Rewilding is needed to restore our earth into a home we can live in comfortably, with good food security, clean water and a safe environment.

‘A species can only survive when everything around is surviving’.

(Sir David Attenborough makes clear that humans and the natural world are interconnected, and by rewilding we can help our species and others to survive. )

Permaculture and Regenerative Farming has been a long tested war to keep local ecosystems in balance or restoring eco-systems to their sustainable productivity. Lots of information, tips and more are available from Permaculture West that are suitable for the western Australian climate.

Let’s write more songs for the Earth as our Home.
