Whirlwind Romance
About this song
This is the first song that Lee and Irma wrote together at the dining table one Sunday afternoon. We were not living together then and the line always made people laugh “We live in separate houses that’s why we get along so fine”. When we moved in with each other we thought about changing the song, but we decided to honour the memory.
This song describes who we are and what we do, in whirlwind romance that continues with a focus on music and fun.
This is a whirlwind romance we’re setting the pace as we please
This is a whirlwind romance, we’re setting the pace as we please
A passionate love affair between a gale and a breeze.
We met each other on a stormy afternoon
We met each other on a stormy afternoon
Since then the wind has picked up and became a typhoon.
There is always more than one song in our hearts
There is always more than one song in our hearts
Whenever we’re together that’s when the harmony starts.
This is a whirlwind romance we’re setting the pace as we please

We live in separate houses that’s why we get along so fine

Thinking of each other with identical rhythm and rhyme.
We don’t know where we’re going, making history one day at a time
